5 Simple Steps to Online Success...

Today we are going to discuss the 5 fundamental steps to online business success. If you can follow these steps and take action upon them, I have no doubt you will become a successful internet marketer.
I personally use this strategy in my online business and it is also used by many other successful marketers to literally make fortunes online.

Step 1. Set Your Initial Goal

The first step in making money online is setting goals. Whether you want to make $50/day or $500/day or more, the first step is to set an initial goal. Having a clear "Goal" lets you know exactly what you are shooting for. More importantly, your goals should be SMART goals:
  • Specific - Your goals should be clearly defined and very specific. Broad goals aren't allowed.
  • Measureable - Your goals should involve numbers or some kind of metric.
  • Attainable - Your goals need to be humanly reachable.
  • Realistic - Don't set your goal to make $5k per day by next week. This is not realistic.
  • Timely - Your goals should involve a time measure.
You should also set short term and long term goals. Why? Well, this will allow you to achieve small successes while still seeing the big picture as to where you want to go.
All those who become successful within the Internet Marketing field, or any other business, have set clear goals and never give up until they achieve their goals.

Step 2. Research and Select a Niche Product to Promote.

Would you buy something before researching it first? Probably not.
That's why you need to a comprehensive research before you selecting a niche to promote to make sure that the niche you will choose will make you money and it will be worth focusing your internet marketing efforts on..
A niche is basically the segment of populations where you will concentrate your internet marketing efforts to make money and selecting the right one is critical to your success..Because of this, i recommend you pick a niche you have a lot of interest in. The more passionate you are about a niche, the easier it will be to write about, talk about, and make educated and REAL product recommendations.

Step 3. Find Profitable Keywords

You will need to research keywords and the average CPC over an industry before you begin promoting it.
Some industries have hundreds of thousands of keywords, while some are so specific they have a smaller number of search terms. A smaller industry can convert just as well as a large one, so don't be fooled by industries with keywords and low traffic AND definitely do not try to choose a niche simply because someone said it is popular or profitable.

Step 4. Find The Right Affiliate Programs.

The last research step is to find something to promote. You can either create your own product or promote affiliate products. If you are just starting out in this business, I recommend you go with affiliate marketing. There are many affiliate networks that have thousands of affiliate programs across different industries. These include:
  • CJ.com (Commission Junction)
  • Linkshare.com
  • ClickBank.com

If you are using traffic techniques like article marketing, on-site search engine optimization, you do not need to worry as much about the commission as these are free marketing techniques.
If you are using paid traffic techniques like Pay Per Click, you will need to make sure that the affiliate program will pay high enough to make it profitable. You typically want to stick to programs that pay over $15/commission.

Step 5. Start an Advertising Campaign And Make Money

Once you've selected a niche, you have a list of keywords and you found a product, it's time to start promoting it.
To do so, I recommend that you use only free traffic techniques at first, such as Article Marketing. The reason is this way you can literally get started with ZERO budget.
